Chipping is a charming picturesque village situated in the Ribble Valley on the edge of the Trough of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is the ideal place to begin beautiful country walks or just stroll around the village itself. Visit the Brabin’s Art Gallery and tea-rooms with its regular changing exhibits or the 17th century Sun Inn . This pub hosts visitors from all around the world drawn by the story of the ghost of Lizzie Dean. Lizzie Dean was the scullery maid who ended her own life in the attic of the pub when her lover married her best friend on what should have been her own wedding day. Unfortunately you have missed the annual Chipping Steam Fair but there is still the agricultural show on the 23rd August.
